Aliaser: Parameterized URL Alias Utility
Aliaser is a Chrome extension developed by Sarah Hagstrom. It falls under the category of Browsers and the subcategory of Add-ons & Tools. This free extension provides the functionality of multiple-parameter URL aliasing.
Currently, Chrome allows users to create single-parameter aliases by customizing their Search Engines in settings. However, it only supports one parameter in the form of '%s'. Aliaser solves this limitation by allowing multiple '%s' parameters in the URL. It can also be used for single- and no-parameter aliases.
For instance, to view a Google map of Google's headquarters with the bike layer applied, users can type 'a map bike 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy Mountain View CA' in the address bar. Similarly, 'a map transit_comp 7400 Sand Point Way NE Seattle WA' would display a transit map of the Cascade Bicycle Club in Seattle.
